There is something about Mjøsa – our calm, serene lake. And there is something about the light and the open landscape. A colourful, undulating scenery creating the perfect backdrop for our blue gem, Mjøsa.
Norway's largest lake is at its most beautiful when the historic paddle steamer, Skibladner – the “White Swan of Mjøsa” – glides by. And when we hear Skibladner’s characteristic steam whistle, we know that summer has arrived. The sound of summer.
From the banks of Mjøsa, it is not far to Hedmarksvidda. A mountain plateau with a gentle landscape and spectacular outdoor experiences, summer as well as winter. As soon as the white gold has settled, we invite to 300 km of groomed cross-country ski trails.
Come and see us! We will keep the coffee hot.
