Matkvartalet

About

Innlandet’s new food destination is located in Hamar town centre

Inside the beautiful, recently refurbished apartment building from 1910, you will find a brewery, coffee roastery, butcher, and grocery/cheese shop selling delicious edible and drinkable gifts. In the sheltered courtyard you can enjoy street food from different parts of the world – sushi, taco, falafel, BBQ, and Indian and Asian cuisine. The popular and urban Matkvartalet opened its doors in 2021, and soon became a meeting point for locals as well as visitors.

Matkvartalet offers seating for over 200 people over two floors.

If you prefer to enjoy your meal elsewhere, the exotic dishes can be ordered via the delivia.no app. Collect the food yourself, or have it delivered to your door.

A unique sushi evening for 10 people

The legendary Alex Cabiao welcomes you to "Omakase" at Matkvartalet, a tiny, luxurious restaurant on the top floor with room for only 10 guests. Seated around the sushi bar, you are served a delicious meal prepared by the experienced hands of the sushi chef. With 50 years of sushi-making expertise behind the counter, this is the ultimate experience for seafood aficionados and wine lovers.
