IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF SKIBLADNER

August 1st, Gjøvik: It is with deep regret that we have to announce that SkiblAdner’s 2022 season has been cancelled, due to a mechanical breakdown in the steam engines. Sailings will recommence in 2023, and we sincerely hope you will join us then. We apologise for all inconvenience and disappointment caused.

The white swan of Lake Mjøsa

When the ship's bell rings and Skibladner puts out to sea, you will discover "The art of slow travel". Skibladner has been carrying passengers across Mjøsa since 1856, and is today the world's oldest paddle steamer still providing this type of service.

An impeccably dressed waiter will ensure that you are comfortable in one of the region's best restaurants. The unique interior, with its plush, mahogany, brass ceiling lights and gilded mirrors, are reminiscent of a time when gentlemen arrived wearing top hats and ladies came dressed in layers of skirts.

With salmon and strawberries as signature dishes

A varied menu is available on board; Start your day with a tasty breakfast, enjoy a salad or sandwich for lunch, or enjoy a meal featuring Skibladner’s traditional salmon, followed up with fresh strawberries and coffee.

The ship offers its own Skibladner wine with a specially designed label signed by a local artist associated with the Mjøsa area.

Skibladner is available for chartered trips the month prior to and after the season.
